High-Strength Low-Temperature Fasteners - AISI 8740 Alloy Steel
ASTM A320/A320M Grade L7C represents a premium nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel specifically designed for critical low temperature bolting service. With tensile strength of 125 ksi and yield strength of 105 ksi, L7C delivers exceptional mechanical performance in diameters up to 2-1/2 inches. The addition of 0.40-0.70% nickel and 0.20-0.30% molybdenum provides enhanced hardenability and impact resistance tested at -150°F.
